El artista boliviano sorprende con la creación de la nueva técnica plástica denominada “Escarificación”.
El joven artista boliviano que realizó sus estudios de bellas artes en Alemania inauguró su primera exposición en la galería PURO de San Miguel, con una serie de obras que llamarón la atención de varias personas, al ser su técnica plástica nueva, llamativa por contener una textura áspera sin forma, plasmando una impresión de barro, tierra y metales en obras que podrían denominarse abstractas.
Christian se dedicaba a crear instalaciones, pero decidió volver al dibujo y comenzar de nuevo dejando atrás los estudios en Alemania y todo lo logrado hasta el momento, comenzó a experimentar con distintas texturas, teniendo un total de 160 variaciones en la que escogió una con la que siguió hacer más de 150 pruebas. La muestra está compuesta por dos lienzos de 5 x 2,10 metros formado por 15 cuadros uno al lado del otro, llegando a formar uno entero.
El artista comenta: “Espero que al ver de cerca estos cuadros produzcan preguntas, curiosidad y sensaciones diferentes. Es lo que diferencia esta propuesta de una ilustración, por que verla en persona no es lo mismo que ver en una foto. En cambio, una ilustración se ve igual en cualquier formato en el que este”. “Las sensaciones de volver a mi ciudad natal y estar con mi gente van de la mano, potencian de alguna manera el juego de crear la técnica.”
Ahora buscará trabajar mejor su técnica con distintos temas y conceptos fusionando la fotografía, juego de luces y esculturas. Sobre su obra dijo que tiene la intención de “dar una nueva visión de arte” mostrando algo propio y original que aún no se vió. Bajo el pensamiento de que los bolivianos no deberían copiar el trabajo de artistas extranjeros, al contrario deben producir obras auténticas y llegar a ser grandes artistas y mostrar un arte distinto al resto del mundo.

The artist Christian Alarcón surprises us with the creation of a new painting technique called «Scarification».
The young Bolivian artist who studied fine arts in Germany opened his first exhibition at the PURO gallery in San Miguel, with a series of pieces that caught the attention of several people, since his plastic technique is new, it’s striking because of its and shapeless texture rough, giving an impression of mud, earth and metals in pieces that could be called abstract.
Christian was dedicated to art installations, but he decided to go back to drawing and start all over again leaving his studies in Germany behind and everything he had achieved so far. He began to experiment with different textures, having a total of 160 variations from which he chose he kept to continue doing more than 150 experiments. One of the samples is built up by two 5 x 2.10 meter canvases made out of 15 paintings next to each other, forming one big final painting.
The artist comments: “I hope that when I see these paintings up close they will bring up different questions, curiosity and feelings. This is what makes this proposal different from an illustration, because seeing it in person is not the same as seeing it in a photo. An illustration looks the same in any format you see it. ” «The sensations of coming back to my hometown and being with my people contribute somehow enhancing the game of developing the technique.»
Now he is looking forward to working better on his technique with different themes and concepts, merging photography, light play and sculpture. About his work he said that he tries to «give a new vision of art» showing something of his own and original that has not yet been seen. He believes in the idea that Bolivians should not copy the work of foreign artists, on the contrary they should produce authentic pieces and become great artists and show a different art to the rest of the world.
