En 1998, Don Juan decidió hacer realidad su sueño de construir un hotel hecho completamente de sal en medio del surrealista paisaje del Salar de Uyuni, el desierto de sal más grande del mundo.
El año 2004 trasladaron el hotel a orillas del salar, usando más de un millón de bloques de sal para su construcción, en un área de 4.500 m2, creando un espacio ideal para satisfacer las demandas de lujo, confort y funcionalidad de los viajeros más exigentes. La nueva ubicación del hotel no solo garantizó estas comodidades, sino que también preservó la majestuosa formación natural del Salar.
Un imponente y original ingreso dan la bienvenida a cada viajero, sorprendiendo con cada espacio de sus instalaciones, ofrecen diferentes tipos de habitaciones y suites en armonía con el feng shui y la cosmovisión andina.
